THE KALLESKE BAKERY STORY

Established 2021

Blurb needed from Aime

We are all passionate, hard working kinda people who love real food, homegrown produce and a glass of beautiful wine - and thankfully we have a top notch supply!

ABOUT KALLESKE FARM SOURDOUGH

I’ve recently spent a lot of time reflecting on how far this little passion project has come.

In Aug 2021 I was invited to present my story to around 80 farmers in Port Lincoln. It was incredible to share and reflect on how quickly I’d doubled then quadrupled then increased my weekly sourdough output to about 8-9 times what I started with in Jan 2021.

I’ve become certified organic and gone from offering one type of bread to 8 different size and flavour combinations across two retail outlets, some casual direct customers and a whole bunch of amazing “week in week out” customers.

Considering a year before I started I had never sold a food item before and was finding dough work for 6 loaves a challenge, I’m a little proud of myself!

I’ve been blown away so many times by how much you all love my bread and being able to share something so much a part of me and have my customers enjoying it with their friends and family brings me so much joy.

I have lots of ideas and plans for Kalleske Farm Sourdough so stay tuned, I also share so much on our socials so go ahead and follow our story!

FROM SCRATCH, DO WE EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS ANYMORE?

We love tucking into Kalleske Farm sourdough with pretty much anything on top, but when it is home made/grown?

It’s the pinnacle for us.

Flour. Water. Salt. Cream. Chives.

5 ingredients lovingly turned into lunch.

Added chunky Murray salt flakes and some home grown chives and ohhhh the delight!

Kinda just homesteading goals really hey?

Real food. Food the way our great grandparents made it.

Nourishing. Satisfying.

Made with love.

This is why we do what we do, and we get a kick out of sharing it with our community.
